Hello Single Moms,
My name is Audrey Dostie. I am 31 years old and have never voted before or even had the desire to ~ until now.
I applaud both McCain and Palin for being supportive of REAL family issues. I can personally relate when it comes to challenging times.
My life has been hard from childhood till now. I married a man with a long history of mental illness. Of course I was unaware of his sickness when we got together.
Myself and two toddlers suffered physical abuse living in constant fear. I left the relationship going into hiding for almost four years.
This situation left us all devastated, personally humiliated, and financially broke. The worst part was the backlash from friends and family.
Divorce is not allowed in the small town that I grew up in. I did not have a good family to support me. Not to mention loosing my childhood friends due to religious prejudice.
A huge THANK YOU to Sarah Palin for being a wonderful mother. By standing up for your daughter with loving and open arms despite the spot light. Thank you McCain for making an amazing choice for V.P.! Once again you have served your
country with honor and heart. You have truly earned the name "Maverick"! God Be With You Both.
I once was a victim but not anymore!
